"Hey Katsu where have you been? We haven't seen you around for weeks!" Ryuichi said slapping his friend on the shoulder.

"Well I've been busy.." He replied glancing at his brother.

"Oh really?" Ryuichi gave him a sly grin noticing the wolf girl standing next to him. "Bout time you got a girlfriend!"

Kairi and Katsu pointed to eachother and yelled "NO WERE NOT!"

"Were just friends! Honestly!" Katsu said.

"Ew, no offense or anything but I wouldn't date you anyways. That would be too weird." Kairi said.

Katsu frowned at her. "You callin' me ugly?"

"NO!" Kairi slapped her forehead. "God. I'm just saying that it would be weird since were freinds and all."

He continued to stare at her.

"ANYHOO who are you people?"

The red haired man stepped foreward and introduced himself. "I am Ryuichi," he grinned. "Please, tell me if you need anything." He said snaking his arm around her.

She slapped it off and said "Thanks, but no thanks. If I need help it won't be from you."

"Ouch, that hurt." He grinned.

"Ah, just ignore him, I'm Yuji." The blonde said.

"I think thats the first time Ryuichi's been rejected." The man with dark green hair said.

"That's Akira. You probably won't hear that much from him." Katsu smiled. "And that's Kairi and her two brothers, Akago and Rio."

"So what are you guys doing here anyways?" Rio asked.

"Were gonna build a house here. We ah..lost our apartment." Ryuichi said scratching the back of his head.

"Yeah only 'cuz YOU got fired for slacking off!" Yuji said frowning at him. The red-head laughed nervously.

"All right then. I'll lend a hand then!" Katsu said. Jiro nodded to help too.

Their house was bulit. It was fairly small but it would do. It turns out Katsu had moved back into his old town, so he was there for ahwil, with unpacking and all. He was taking his karate lessons again too. But his black hair had gotton longer since the last time he was there and kept getting in his eyes.

"Agh! Crap!" He said as he got knocked over. He was sparring with his sensei in a one on one match.

"Whats the matter pretty boy? Hair gettin' in your way kid?" the purple haired man asked smirking.

"No! That was just a cheap-" he ducked another kick.

"Ever think about gettin a little trim? How do you fight in-" he said dodging a punch.

"Shhhh!! God you have a big mouth!"

"And you need to focus!" With that being said he knocked his student over again and decided that was all for today. "See you next week then." Katsu said bowing.

"Yeah, and you better be focused next time." He grinned.

Katsu nodded and went home to change. "Hmm..maybe it is time for a haircut." he said blowing his hair out of his eyes again. His bangs were in his face a lot, and he didnt like the thought of not being able to fight a demon or something in the feudal era just because of his hair. After he got changed he got on his motorcycle again and took off to get his hair cut a little. He walked in and the aroma of differnet sprays and shampoos reached him. "Ugh.." he thought. He walked to the front desk and asked for a trim.

"Ok sir someone will be right with you." The lady said.

He nodded and took a seat. He noticed there was another young man seated a couple spots away from him. He also had black hair, but it was long and shaggy. After a short while someone called him and he took a seat in the chair he was supposed to sit in. In a little over a half hour he was done. But he wondered what had taken her so long for just a trim, and why she used some weird shampoo. It smelled really bad. He was told to keep his eyes closed and was turned from the mirrors. So he had no Idea what had become of his head. When she had finished he tipped her and walked to the front desk again. And in the mirror behind the lady at the desk saw he now had short blonde hair. His jaw dropped nearly to the floor.

"Is there something wrong sir?" The woman asked looking confused.

"Uhm...it looks great, but I didn't ask for my hair dyed blonde."

The woman clasped her hand to her mouth and called for the woman who did his hair. "Is there by any chance anyone else in the waiting room?" The other woman disapeared around the corner. She returned with a look on her face that said "I am SO fired!!" and nodded her head. The other woman slapped her hand to her forehead.

"I am SO SO SO sorry!" she apoligized.

"We'll dye it back no charge! It seems that there was another young man that she mistook you for."

He looked in the mirror again and decided it wasnt all that bad. So he decided to leave it. "No it's ok. It looks different. I sorta like it." He smiled.

"Oh..well once again we're very sorry for the inconvienence."

"It's ok. Have a nice day!" He said walking out.

Once he left the lady at the desk turned to her co-worker. "NICE job!" Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

"Eh..."

"Well..that was an experience." he said examining his new hair in the mirror. It was difernet now, for his long bangs had been turned into little bangs and you could see both his eyes. More importantly, HE could see with both eyes. Then he grinned. "I wonder what the others will think."

Katsu went back to the fuedal era. But it was later at night. Like almost the next morning late. He decided to see what Kairi said about it before everyone else. Over the couple months they had know each other, they had become best friends. He asked her opinion before anyone else. And she did the same thing with him.

He walked by where the waterfall was, and saw that she was sitting outside with her feet in the water. Her back was to him and it was kinda dark. "Hehe." he thought quietly inching twards her. She hadn't been aware of him yet. "Hmm, thats weird. She must be thinking about something. She looks deep in thought, don't see that too often." he laughed to himself. He was about to yell BOO but...

"STALKER!!" she screeched.

"NO IT'S ME! AHHH!" he yelled as she nailed him in the face.

"Wha? Who are you?" she asked not recognizing him with his new hair.

"It's me Katsu!" he said holding his face.

Then she new it was him from his voice. "OHMYGOD! I punched you again!" she said helping him up. "I didn't recognize you. What did you do to your hair?" she asked.

"Well I went for a trim but the woman there messed it up. I told her to leave it 'cause I didn't think it looked that bad."

"Oh." she said examining him.

"What do you think? Should I leave it or does it look bad?"

"NO it looks cute leave it like that!"

He stared at her after hearing her last comment. Then she realized what she had said and how he interpreted it.

"Uhm cute as in...uh...well you know what I mean. Soanywayshowwasyourday?!" She asked blushing. Thank god the darkness was on her side tonight. Maybe he didn't see.

".......Fine. So...I should keep it?"

She nodded and smiled. "I think everyone else will like it too."

He smiled and sat next to her, putting his feet in the water as well. Kairi told him what he missed in the past couple of days and they talked for ahwile. Then there was that akward silence.

"Akward silence." she said quietly.

"Yup."

"......."

"So, I look cute like this?" he smiled. "I saw you blush."

"Uh....er...." She felt her face get red again. And also knew that he saw it. But he was doing the same thing she was. "So are YOU!" She said pushing him in the water.

Hearing a splash Akago came out to investigate what was going on. All he saw was the blonde Katsu in shoulder deep water. He put his hand on his forehead and walked back inside muttering something. Then they smiled at each other.

"Oh, you're mean." he grinned.

"I know." she smiled.
